A Tribute to Marshawn Lynch
Hello, fellow Seahawks fans and party enthusiasts!
This past Sunday, we hosted the ultimate Seahawks viewing party, and it was a blast! In true Seattle spirit, I decided to pay homage to the legendary Marshawn Lynch—known for his incredible plays and love for Skittles—by serving up Skittles Martinis. They were not only a vibrant and fun addition to our gathering but also a delicious nod to our favorite team’s colorful mascot.
Inspired by our love for the delicate flavor of rose water, my sister and I set out to create a cocktail that would be perfect for lounging by the pool on a sunny spring day. This delightful martini combines the tartness of lemon with the subtle floral aroma of rose water, resulting in a drink that’s both sophisticated and refreshing.

The Skittles Martini Experience
What better way to celebrate a Seahawks game than with a drink that lets everyone choose their favorite Skittles flavor? From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted with the vibrant sight of Skittles sorted by color, ready to be transformed into delightful martinis. And of course, most fans couldn’t resist the allure of making their drink in bright, Seahawks green..
How to Make Skittles Martinis
Here’s how you can recreate the Skittles Martini magic at your next party:
>> Ingredients
- 1 pack of Skittles (sorted by color)
- 2 oz vodka
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- Ice cubes
- Skittle candies, for garnish
>> Instructions
- Infuse the Vodka:
- Pick your Skittles color and add a handful of Skittles to a small amount of vodka in a separate container. Let them sit for a few hours (or overnight for a stronger flavor) to infuse the vodka with their color and taste. If using a non-alcoholic base, let the Skittles dissolve in a little warm water before mixing with your soda, such as sprite or 7-up.
- Prepare the Drink:
- In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of the infused vodka (or your flavored soda), 1/2 oz triple sec (or orange juice), and 1/2 oz simple syrup. Adjust the simple syrup to your preferred sweetness.
- Add ice cubes and shake well until chilled.
- Serve
- Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a lemon wedge or a few Skittles on a cocktail stick
